Noted Mississippi artist, Betty Dettre, strives to paint a realistic impression of nature. As an artist she feels that there is enough frustration and sadness in the world; therefore, she wishes to share with the viewer the beauty of nature in the hopes that it will bring some joy or happiness to someone or bring back a fond memory of earlier times.
